A new exhibit showcasing the iconic artwork of DREW STRUZAN opens June 7th at The Cinema & Miniature Museum in Lyon, France.
From a recent press release regarding "Magnifying Pop Culture - The Art of Drew Struzan":
You probably know the posters of Star Wars, Indiana Jones or Back to the Future but do you know the person behind their creation?
The genius painter "Drew Struzan" marked the history of movie posters and revolutionized pop culture due to his unique style.
For the first time anywhere in the world, a museum exhibition is dedicated to the work of Drew Struzan, who created the posters for Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, The Goonies, Hook and The Shawshank.
In collaboration with the Struzan family and Lucasfilm ltd, the Cinema & Miniature Museum aims to pay the master the tribute he deserves.
While my taking another trip to Europe is highly unlikely in the near future (poor me), I wanted to do my part to get the word out to everyone else. Drew's work represents a milestone in modern movie poster illustration, and any opportunity to see it firsthand is very exciting...for both artists and movie lovers.
The show runs through December 30th, and is located at Maison des Avocats 60 rue Saint-Jean - 69005 Lyon 5ème.

I also highly recommend seeing Erik Sharkey's wonderful documentary, DREW: THE MAN BEHIND THE POSTER, which is available on several streaming platforms.
