We have made the (all too easy) decision to cancel our official Twitter/X page tomorrow, November 14th. The update to X's terms of service, which goes into effect on Nov. 15, will require all lawsuits by users against X to be filed in a Texas court — either in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas or state courts in Tarrant County. The new terms also include a new privacy policy, granting third parties access to user data for the purpose of training artificial intelligence models.
We find such updates very troubling, and given the controversial political and business stances of X's Elon Musk -- especially in light of the upcoming Trump Presidency -- we believe our choice was both a creative and moral one.
